Hi! Crafters!
This is another crafter for kids to make for Valentines or Mother’s
day. Again, this is another project which uses upcycle item.
Materials: 2 twist-off bottle caps, colored
nail polish, felt scraps, small photo, glue, scissors, and silk cord,
Instructions:
NOTE: They might not
want to use their mom’s favorite/more expensive polish.
Paint both bottle caps with the nail polish inside and
outside. Paint one side at a time and
let dry for 15 minutes. You may need to
add a second coat.
Cut a small strip of felt that matches the nail polish or you
mom’s favorite color. Glue one end inside cap to form a hinge. This will allow the locket to close and open.
Cut out and glue another piece of felt for the inside of one
cap and glue the picture after making it fit in the other cap.
Make sure the felt hinge is at the top of the locket.
Your photo is face-up in the cap that will hang against your
mom’s neck.
Option: Cut out a small
heart with the felt and glue to the outside of the locket.
When the glue has dried, tie a silk cord around the hinge of
the locket, and then tie the ends together to form a loop large enough to fit
an adult head,
