For the Beginner Crocheter-Part Four A- Half Double Crochet

This series had taken me longer than I had plan between going back to working, getting our youngest ready for college and doctor appointments.

Since the limits of blogger again, I will be splitting Part four into two sections. So, Part Four A will be half double crochet and part four B will be granny squares.
Explanation with pictures

Step 1:  Create the foundation chain.
Step 2: In the 2nd chain from the hook.
Step 3:  Yarn over the hook and insert your hook in the third chain from the hook.

Step 4:  Yarn over the hook and gently pull the wrapped hook through the center of the chain stitch, carrying the wrapped yarn through the stitch.  (You should have 3 loops on your hook.)

Step 5:  Yarn over the hook and draw your yarn through all 3 loops on your hook.

Step 6:  Begin in the next chain of the foundation chain.

This step completes a full row of half double crochet stitches.
Step 7:  Work 1 half double crochet stitch in each successive chain across the foundation chain. Turn your work. Chain 2.

Begin again, until; you have the desired length.
