Here is a quick couple of crocheting project for the home you
can do, The first one is great because,
you can use it to keep organized and can make several for that reason. The second is just a decorative idea.
Crochet Catchall
Materials: Lily® Sugar n Cream® Yarn: 7
skeins white (MC); 1 skein cream (A), Size G-6 crochet hook
Garment
hanger: Glue gun
& glue stick GAUGE: 15 sc and 16 rows = 4"
GAUGE: 14 sts & 10 rows = 4" in pat
Direction:
FRONT: **With
MC, ch 57. Row 1: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch.
Turn. 56 sc. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss 1st st. 1 dc in next st &
each st to end of row. Turn. Row 3: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn.
Last 2 rows form pat.** Cont. in pat until work from beg measures 24",
ending with RS facing for next row: *** Next row: Ch 4 (counts as tr). (Yoh
& draw up a loop in next st. Yoh & draw through 2 loops on hook) twice.
Yoh & draw through all loops on hook? dc2tog made. Dc2tog over next 2 sts.
1 dc in each dc to last 5 sts. (Dc2tog over next 2 sts) twice. 1 tr in last st.
Turn. Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in 1st st. Draw up a loop in each of next 2 sts. Yoh
& draw through all 3 loops on hook? sc2tog made. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc
in each st to last 5 sts. (Sc2tog over next 2 sts) twice. 1 sc in last st.
Turn. Rep last 2 rows 5 times more. 8 sts. Fasten off. ** Place markers at each
end of last row.
BACK: Work
from ** to ** as given for Front. Cont. in pat until work from beg measures
3", ending with RS facing for next row. Work from *** to *** as given for
Front.
Joining Back & Front: Place WS of Back & Front tog,
matching shapes; pin them tog. RS of work facing, join MC with sl st to
left-marked corner of Front. Rnd 1: Work through both thicknesses: ch 1. 1 sc
in same sp as last sl st. Work 22 sc evenly down left shoulder & 10 sc down
left side.
Working in Front only: 72 sc down left side of Front. 3 sc in
corner st. 1 sc in each of next 54 sc across bottom of Front. 3 sc in corner
st. 72 sc up RS of Front. Work through both thicknesses: 10 sc up RS & 22
sc evenly up right shoulder. Work in Front only, 8 sc across top of Front. Join
with sl st in 1st sc. Rnd 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in
corners. Join A with sl st to 1st sc. Rnd 3: With A, ch 1. (1 sc. Ch 3. 2 dc)
in same sp as last sl st. *Miss next 2 sc. (1 sc. Ch 3. 2 dc) in next sc. Rep
from * around. Join with sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off.
POCKET: Make 2.
With MC, ch 56. Row 1: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end
of ch. Turn. 55 sc. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first st. 1 dc in next st
& each st to end of row. Turn. Row 3: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row.
Turn. Last 2 rows form pat. Cont. in pat until total of 18 rows are worked. Next
row: (RS).
With A, ch 1. (1 sc. Ch 3. 2 dc) in first st. *Miss next 2
sts. (1 sc. Ch 3. 2 dc) in next st.
Rep from * to last 3 sts. Miss next 2 sts. 1 sc in last st.
Fasten off.
FLOWER: With A,
ch 4. Rnd 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. Ch 3. (Sl st. Ch 3. 1 dc. Ch 3) 4 times
in same sp.
Sl st in same sp. Fasten off. Sew Pockets in position
stitching top Pocket into 3 divisions & bottom Pocket into 2 divisions. Sew
Flower in position. Wrap 2 strands of MC tog and hot glue to hanger hook.
Ornament
Vase Crochet holder
Materials: 1 skein Marks & Kattens,
Bianca in red. 100% mercerised cotton 160m/50g
175 yards/1,76 ounces, 1 skein metallic thread yarn., Hook 3mm US: D/3, Tapestry Needle, ½ Cup Potato
Starch, ½ Cup Hot Water, ½ Cup Cold Water, Plastic Foil, and 1 Christmas
Ornament
Directions:
Work double stranded with metallic and cotton yarn held
together throghout the work.
Make a magic ring/adjustable ring. See my tutorial for the
magic ring.
Round 1 Chain 3, 12
double crochets in ring, 1 slip stitch in this rows 3rd chain to join ring.
Round 2 Chain3, [2 dc
in next stitch] 12 times; 1 slip stitch in this rows 3rd chain to join ring.
Round 3 Chain3, [2 dc
in next stitch, 1 double crochet in next stitch] 12 times; 1 slip stitch in
this rows 3rd chain to join ring.
Round 4 Chain 3, [2
dc in next stitch, 1 double crochet in next stitch, 1 double crochet in next
stitch] 12 times; 1 slip stitch in this rows 3rd chain to join ring.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
