beg small heart
3 trc & 1 dc in 3rd chain from hook, 2 dc in next chain, sc in next chain. Turn so that you can work in the opposite side of the chains you just worked in. Sc in same chain as previous sc, 2 dc in next chain, dc &3 trc in last chain. Ch 2 and join with a sl st to last chain. Finish by weaving in ends. On the small heart end I used the tail to sew up the gap in the center.
Stiffen the hearts using your desired method. I left the chain loose but you can stiffen it also if you would like. This would also look cute if you added some ultra fine glitter when stiffening.

Directions:
The pattern is written in UK terms, the stitches as follows :
htr :: yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch (three loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all three loops on hook.
tr :: yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch (three loops on hook), yarn over and pull through two loops on hook (two loops left on hook), yarn over and pull through remaining two loops.
For US peeps:
UK dc = US sc
UK htr = US hdc
UK tr = US dc

To begin : chain 4 and join to form a ring. It'll be small, but you should be able to wiggle it with your finger and find the central hole to work out of or the first round.
Round 1 :  Ch 2, work 9 dc stitches into the ring, join with a sl st in 2nd ch of initial ch-2 (see pic below)

Round 2:  work out of the stitches for this round.  *chain 2, then work 1 tr, 1 htr into first stitch.  sl st into next stitch.*

Repeat between **, 4 more times ending in a sl st. Fasten off.
Each petal should take up 2 stitches (one for the tr/htr stitches and 1 to sl st into)
You can see in the above pic that there are 2 stitches left waiting for the last petal to be made and sl stitched.

LEAVES ::
chain 6.
Row 1 :  beginning in 2nd chain from hook, work 1dc, 1htr, 1 tr, 1htr, 1dc. Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2 :  beginning in 2nd chain from hook, work 1dc, 1htr, 1 tr, 1htr, 1dc. fasten off, and use a darning needle to darn ends down through the center of the leaves.
