Hi! Crafters!
I always like making crochet snowflakes so here is a newer
version of a crochet snowflake. It is done on a ring like the angel; but, the
old fashion curtain plastic rings which are 2 inches.

Snowflake Ring Ornament
Materials: Caron Simply Soft Worsted Weight
Yarn – White, G Crochet Hook, 2" Plastic Ring, Tapestry Needle
Abbreviations: DC, double crochet; SC, single
crochet; ST, stitch, CH, Chain stitch; SL ST, Slip stitch; MP, make picot, SK
skip, BEG, Beginning
Directions:
Round 1: With White,
join with a SL ST around 2” plastic ring, CH1, 36 SC around ring, join with a SLST
to beg SC. Do not turn. (36 SC)
Round 2: CH 1, SC in
same ST and SC in each remaining ST around, join with a SL STto beg sc. Do Not
turn. (36 SC)
Pattern Note for Round 3: To make picot (MP): CH 2, SL ST in
2nd CH from hook.
Round 3: CH 1, SC in same ST, SK next 2 STS, (DC, MP, DC,
MP, DC, MP, DC, MP, DC) in next ST (1st snowflake point made), SK next 2 STS, *SC
in next ST, SK next 2 STS, (DC, MP, DC, MP, DC, MP, DC, MP, DC) in next ST, SK
next 2 STS*, repeat from * to * around, join with a SL ST to beg SC. End off,
weave in ends. Each snowflake point will contain 5 DC's and 4 picots. (6 snowflake points, 6 SC)
