This blog is for the crocheted directions for the Breast
Cancer Awareness direction for coffee mug.
Again FYI: I am not a
writer or technical writer; just an individual who love to crochet.
I never fully did my own directions please let me know if
there is a question or if you do not understand what I mean or anything at sandi_tipple@yahoo.com. I will do my best answering you questions.
MY Cancer Awareness Ribbon for Coffee Mug
Materials:
White and Pink Yarn
H Hook
White thread and needle
Three large white or pink buttons = your choice
Tapestry needle
3 Stitch markers
Abbreviations:
SC, single crochet, DC double crochet, ST stitch, CH. Chain
stitch, SL ST Slip stitch.
Option
One:
With white yarn and H Hook
Row 1: CH 36
Row 2: SC in 2nd CH
from hook, SC across, turn.
Row 3: CH 3, SC across,
turn.
Row 4: Repeat Row 3.
Row 5: Repeat Row 3.
Row 6: Repeat Row 3.
Row 7: Repeat Row 3.
Row 8: Repeat Row 3.
Row 9: Repeat Row 3.
Row 10: Repeat Row 3.
Fasten off and weave ends.
Loops for buttons:
With white yarn and H hook for button area
Loop one: At the end of
row 10:
With SL ST on end CH 12 SL ST in the Stitch at the beginning
to make loop one.
Loop two: In middle
approximately the end of row 5:
With SL ST on end CH 12 SL ST in the Stitch at the beginning
to make loop two.
Loop Three: At the end of row 1:
With SL ST on end CH 12 SL ST in the Stitch at the beginning
to make loop three.
Sew on three large white buttons.
Option
Two:
With pink yarn and H hook
Row 1: CH 36
Change color to white yarn and keep H Hook
Row 2: SC in 2nd CH
from hook, SC across, turn.
Row 3: CH 3, SC across,
turn.
Row 4: Repeat Row 3.
Row 5: Repeat Row 3.
Row 6: Repeat Row 3.
Row 7: Repeat Row 3.
Row 8: Repeat Row 3.
Row 9: Repeat Row 3.
Row 10: Repeat Row 3.
Fasten off and weave ends.

With white yarn and H hook for button area
Loop one: At the end of
row 10:
With SL ST on end CH 12 SL ST in the Stitch at the beginning
to make loop one.
Loop two: In middle
approximately the end of row 5:
With SL ST on end CH 12 SL ST in the Stitch at the beginning
to make loop two.
Loop Three: At the end of row 1:
With SL ST on end CH 12 SL ST in the Stitch at the beginning
to make loop three.
Sew on three large white buttons
Ribbon:
Three stitch markers
With one stitch marker mark the center of the cozy two rows
down.
From the center with one marker on the 2nd to last row mark 2
spaces from the center to the right and with the other maker 2 space to the
left.
With Pink yarn and H hook
SL ST in the bottom left stitch maker, CH 6 to the right of
the top stitch marker SL ST the space, CH 1 in Marked space SC, DC, SC, CH 1 in
the space to the left SL ST, CH 6 and attach with a ST SL to the right bottom
stitch marker.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
