Miniature Stuff Animals to sew

After doing the bears and dogs, I thought about other animals that would be cute as a key chain ring to do/offer.  I still want to convert the dog pattern to make a rabbit; but, here are some miniature ideas.

Mini cats

Materials:  different colors of felt (might be able to use scraps here.), scissors, embroidery thread, sew machine and matching thread, polyester fiberfill, paint pen, fabric glue,

Directions:
Cut felt each 2 pieces without seam allowance.
Cut felt around with blanket stitch.
Put polyester fiberfill a little in it.
If you need, paint it with a pen for cloth.
Glue eyes of felt, and stitch beads.
Sew the whiskers.
Attach the head to the body.

The strap is ready-made goods.
You may stitch or paint the features.

Another style below:

Mini Dog

Materials:   two different color of felt, embroidery thread, scissors, sew machine and matching thread, polyester fiberfill, paint pen, fabric glue

Directions:
Cut felt pattern out.  Sew the brown to the area shown above. Sew the tail and then sew the tail to “C” area on dog pattern and stuff tail.  Sew the bottom middle leaving an opening to stuff.  Sew together.   Embroider face on dog. Stuff dog and sew close.

Mini Hamster

Materials:   felt, scissors, embroidery thread, sew machine and matching thread, polyester fiberfill, paint pen, fabric glue

Directions:

The following is a process of making. Above picture shows white cloth and red thread to show its seams.  Even if you use the same pattern, different materials make different ones.
Sew a-b of left and right.  Unseam i-h. It's opening.
The hamster’s hind legs where stuffed 8.5 centimeters.
Whiskers are transparent threads.
Sew the belly and the stuff polyester fiberfill in it.
If you put a wire in the forelegs, it can grab a sunflower seed.
Stitch nails. It fixes the inside wire.

Glue inside ear on outside, and cut it.
Sew the ears to the head.
You may omit the nose and mouth.
If you rouge the nose, it may be cute.
Attach the ears
Its eyes are circles of felt.
Hamster stuffed and finish sewing closed.

Share your ideas on this or anything here on the blog either here or e-mail me at stipple@verizon.net.  I look forward to hearing from you!
